FAQ's
What is your return policy? TOP
First of all we want to say we value and appreciate our customers! We would love to be able to offer returns on anything anytime like Nordstrom or Costco, but we are a small business. So that being said, we offer full returns for unwashed and unused products (except clearance items, please see below) in original packaging within 30 days of purchase. We will need a copy of your receipt or your Paypal receipt number. The following list addresses special circumstances.
- All sales of clearance items are final.
- If your purchase was shipped free, your return will be the purchase price minus the actual original shipping costs.
-
If your purchase is a gift, please request a gift receipt and note the event date (for example baby’s due date, baby shower date, etc.) in the special requests section at checkout. This will allow us to make a note on the receipt so the new mom can return the product within 30 days of her event date. The product must be in unwashed and unused condition and in the original packaging.
-
If you are pregnant, please let us know your due date in the special requests section at checkout. We will make a note on your receipt so you can return the item in unwashed and unused condition in the original packaging within 30 days of your due date.
-
If you have other special circumstances, please email us at info@naturallysweetbaby.com or call us at 360-786-6031 so we can see what we can do to help.
-
If you have a product that you feel is defective, please email us at info@naturallysweetbaby.com and explain what the item is and what is wrong with it. We will respond with instructions for returning it as some items will be returned to us and some directly to the manufacturer.
In all cases, please email us at info@naturallysweetbaby.com if you would like to return a product. Let us know why you want to return it and what kind of condition it is in (for example, new, unused, unwashed, washed, broken, etc.). If you have your Paypal receipt number, include that as well. We will send you instructions for returning it to us. Please allow up to two weeks for processing your return.Do you allow exchanges? TOP
Exchanges work pretty much the same as returns. However, if you received free shipping for the original item, your exchange will not be reduced to cover those costs, but you will have to pay actual shipping on the new item. What about shipping options and charges? TOP
Our shipping charges are estimates. We would prefer to always charge actual shipping, but with the way our cart works, we can only estimate. However, we will gladly send you a separate Paypal invoice for actual shipping charges. Please select “Invoice Actual Shipping” from the shipping options. Be sure to include your Paypal email address in either the email field or the “Special Instructions or Requests” box. As soon as we receive your payment for the shipping charges, we will send out your order.
Customers in our local area may also select “Local Delivery or Pick-Up” from the shipping options. Be sure to include a valid email address and phone number in the shipping information fields so we may contact you to set-up a time and place.
All deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii must pay actual shipping charges. Please select “Invoice Actual Shipping” from the shipping options. Be sure to include your Paypal email address in either the email field or the “Special Instructions or Requests” box. As soon as we receive your payment for the shipping charges, we will send out your order. How do you determine sales tax for Washington customers? TOP As of July 1, 2008, Washington has switched to a destination based sales tax. This means the sales tax charged for your purchase is based on the sales tax rate where your purchase will be delivered. Once you enter your shipping address the shopping cart looks it up in the Department of Revenue tax tables to determine the correct amount. If you feel the amount is in error, please tell us in the "Special Instructions or Requests" box and proceed with the order. We will double check the tax and refund the overcharge if necessary. What is your privacy policy? TOP Any information we receive from you is used to process your order. We will never sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your information with anyone. Period. What are your business hours? TOP
We typically answer emails and phone calls between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm PST Monday through Friday. Of course our website is always open. Why should I use reusable nursing pads? TOP
Please see our LANACare product listings for lots of great information. We have also created a little "cost benefit analysis" of disposable vs. reusable nursing pads, which we have included below.
Assumptions:
-
Breastfeed for 1 year
-
Average cost of a box of 60 disposable pads is $8.45 ($0.14/pad) (based on an internet search of 4 major brands).
-
Average cost of LANACare pads in size small $24.33 (since each style, Original, Ekstra, and Softline, is a different price)
Disposable - Use 1 pair (2 x $0.14 = $0.28) of disposable pads each day (365 days) at a total cost of $102.81. Although you do not have to hand wash these pads, you will be throwing 730 pads in the trash.
Reusable - Buy 2 pairs of LANACare pads and rotate use for 365 days (most women only need two pairs and they can be used for subsequent children) at a total cost of $48.66. You will also need to purchase wool care soap of some kind and yes, you will have to wash the pads by hand. It is hard to say how much soap you will need because it will depend on whether you use a bar or liquid and how often you wash the pads. A good wool care bar will last a very long time. In fact, I (Megan) purchased a bar for about $8.00 and I am done breastfeeding and still have 1/2 a bar left. So my total cost is about $56.66 and some time to wash the pads.
Conclusion - Based on just the cost savings alone, we think reusable pads are the obvious choice. Throw in all the other great things, which are described in detail in the nursing pad product descriptions, and we don’t know why you wouldn’t use reusable pads! |
